"Forty-five, fifty-five, sixty-five, seventy-five, gouda. Eighty-five, ninety-five, wait, what am I doing? Chalupa."
E-40, Gouda
This is not rapping. You can't just count and then say food. Another thing, you shouldn't ask yourself "What am I doing?" while the tape is still running.

ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....... haha
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, Gouda IS pretty tasty - I don't know if it's 'count to ninety-five by tens' tasty, but I guess that's a matter of personal taste.
ReplyDeleteI say this could work with the aid of a music video, with him making a chalupa, adding the "gouda" at "Seventy-Five," and then at the end he's got a "Chalupa," cue visual where he holds it... up. Fuck nevermind. That line is really really stupid. It's like a terrible Das Efx line. You guys should be dipping into their stuff too... gold mine.
ReplyDeleteGouda is cheese, and cheese is a term for money. E-40 is counting money in thise line. At this point in the track, he is not rapping. This is part of the hook, not the bars. Chalupa has a lot of cheese in it, which in turn means a lot of money. "Wait what am I doing?" refers to him losing count.
ReplyDeleteIve pretty consistently hated this site but this one is pretty funny
ReplyDelete1, 2, 3, sandwich.
ReplyDeleteprobably an enchilada has more cheese in it than a chalupa.
ReplyDeleteCooking With The Inner Deranged Rapper: starring E-40!
ReplyDeletehahaha this is probably my favorite.
ReplyDeletealthough, 2:56 makes sense...if cheese really is a term for money..who knows
