"That bloke from Oasis said I couldn't play guitar. Somebody should'a told him I'm a fuckin' rock star."
- Jay-Z, Jockin' Jay-Z

Somebody: "Hey, Mr. Gallagher from Oasis, remember when you said Jay-Z couldn't play guitar?"
Mr. Gallagher: "Yeah... I do remember that."
Somebody: "Yeah well, don't know if you know this but Jay-Z is a rock star, soooo...."
Mr. Gallagher: "Oh, I still don't give a shit."

  1. Hahaha. He also said "bloke" in a rap song. You can only do that if you're a British rapper. Not to be racist, but you shouldn't say "bloke" if you're black. Unless you're black AND from England.

  5. This makes sense, even if the Jay-Z fans don't want it to. Just because he may be a rock star, that doesn't mean he can play guitar.

  6. Err...he is not a rock star, he is a rapper.
    As well, being a rock star does not mean you can play guitar, singers can be rock stars and they do not have to know how to play guitar.

  9. This is a wicked line. First some context;
    Noel Gallagher had complained in public about Jigga headling Glastonbury (the biggest festival in the UK). Jay came out and opened with Oasis's biggest tune Wonderwall, and had the whole crowd on his side (in a country where Oasis are still loved.)Jay-Z has now transcended Hip-Hip (for better or for worse) and is a rock star just as Run DMC where the kings of rock. Oh and Oasis have another song called Rock and Roll Star. Jay did a verse in Brit slang better at Glasto too btw...
