"Ain't my birthday but I got my name on that cake."
- Lil Wayne, Stuntin' Like My Daddy
"I picked up that cake for Mark's birthday."
"Great, let's see it... Oh, it says 'Happy Birthday Weezy' on it."
"Yeah, well... oops."
"You're the most self-centered person alive."

hahahaha as if Weezy hangs out with a dude named Mark.
ReplyDelete.......the hell is this guy above me talkin about???
ReplyDelete.......the hell doesn't this guy above me understand what the guy above him is talkin about???
ReplyDelete.......the hell if I know.
ReplyDeleteokay, this one is actually funny! Chris Macho needs to go solo and dump the other guy.
ReplyDeleteCake means Cocaine, but this is still ridiculous because putting your name on Narcotics is probably a good way to get yourself arrested
ReplyDeletethis website is stupid and racist. The creator of this website probably eats french fries with a fork and knife and has his girlfriend jerk him off with a latex glove. What a little bitch.
ReplyDeleteTypical Lil' Wayne fan argument.
DeleteHow is this website racist?
ReplyDeleteI do eat fries with a fork and knife but only because I am white and that's what white people do.
I AGREE WITH JOSH WEINSTEIN ALL THE WAY. THIS IS NOTHING BUT A FUCKING RACIST WEBSITE! PEOPLE ARE HATING ON ALL THE RAPPERS FOR MAKIN THEIR MONEY! YOU DON'T SEE A FUCKING COUNTRY WEBSITE FOR ALL THIS SHIT DO YA... NO? BECAUSE ALL THEIR LYRICS TALK ABOUT IS THEIR CAT DYING... OR THEIR GIRLFRIEND LEAVING THEM! DON'T BE AFRAID TO HAVE AN ACTUAL POSITIVE SONG ONCE IN A WHILE!
ReplyDeleteAww...someone's mad because they quoted a dumb Lil' Wayne line.
Delete1st, Cake = Money, so Weezy is saying it's HIS money. This one is amusing, a nice punch line from Young Money, not a bad lyric. N I can c wut Weistein is sayin, but ignorance n racism r different. I think the blog writers r ignorant about the material they write about, not that they're racist. If they weren't ignorant, they wouldn't ignore context or lack appreciation for the music they cover. If they were racist, they probably would not be writing a very funny blog about it that has an occassion ignorant post.
ReplyDelete...Get real. And loosen up. This website isn't racist. If you think it's racist, perhaps after some serious introspection you'll realize who the "little bitch" is. If you're offended by this blog, you're the uptight one. It's not that we're offended by the lyrics, but rather that the linguistic fallacies of rap lyrics are fantastically entertaining. Sad, though. Just for the record, country music lyrics are really silly, too. I quite enjoy mocking "She thinks my tractor's sexy."
ReplyDeleteThe only difference between the genres is simply that country music doesn't use outrageous nonsensical slang. And if you try to say rap slang is not non-sensical, I'll ask you to read through all the comments and compare the contradictory definitions applied to the term "cake"- none of which have a solid root in the *legitimate* etymology of the word.
Also, Chris D'elia is my goddamn hero now.
Ha.
(Where is my chardonnay, Jeeves! Also, redust the banister, I swiped my white gloved finger across it and I think I detected a microscopic blemish! Unacceptable! :P)
one of the best lyrics by weezy
ReplyDeletedef. not worthy of this site
I think this is a pretty creative line
ReplyDeleteI'm failing to see the racist aspect of this site. . .
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter if the line is creative or not. It still sounds silly and reads silly.
ReplyDeleteNothing is racist about this site at all. We've made plenty fun of Eminem here. He's white. Do your research.
So if you think we're racist at SAS, or if you think we DON'T know what these lyrics ACTUALLY mean... then you are the ignorant one because you haven't taken the time to read the site entirely.
Again, we LOVE hip-hop. That's why we KNOW all of these songs. We don't listen to music we DON'T like. That's why we don't have a country blog. Because I think country music fuckin sucks. And it's because they are all white and I hate white people.
See ya.
racist...no
ReplyDeleteignorant...most of the time
You're foolish if you don't realize that the writers here are being purposefully ignorant in order to make humourous commentary.
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious that Chris and Chris know what the rappers meant on almost all the lyrics here (maybe not on the "monkey flip" post); explaining the peculiarities of the lyrics, though, would make for a far less funny Web site.
That said, I don't think it's a bad thing when visitors to the site explain the actual meaning of the line, as long as they don't act like they're giving the proprietors of this site a lesson.
look chris it doesnt read silly if you understand the slang its lke me saying this site is cool to a goy from 1920 he would say what this place is cold i dont want to go there then... most posts are respectable and funny but this one is actualy a very well thaught out line...most stuff on here is great and funny but some times you guys should really listen and maybe even use urban dictionary...
ReplyDeleteps love the site 90% of the time
