"Got a letter from the government the other day. I opened it, read it... It said, 'We want hustlers'."
- Rick Ross, Southern Gangstas by Ludacris

  1. In this day and age, that's not completely out of the realm of probability.

  2. I always got a kick out of the Chuck D original of this line, picturing him opening a letter that said "Dear Mr. D, We are suckers. We want you for the army or whatever. Love, The Government"

  8. Actually, it's a re-worded ode to the group Pharcyde's song "Officer".

"I got a letter from the DMV, the other day,
I opened and read it, it said they were suckers!"

  9. whoever said this was a re-worded ode to the Pharcyde song "Officer" is wrong. actually, that line in "Officer" is a re-worded ode to the opening line of the PUBLIC ENEMY song "Black Steel In the Hour of Chaos."
