"Body be just like a girl in uh.. What's that movie? Nevermind."
- Twista, Wetter
Okay, I'm pretty sure you're supposed to figure out what the movie is before you record the song. "Nevermind" is NEVER something you can say in a song because it means that whatever you just said was NOT important, therefore it should NOT be in the song.

He definitely could have taken the time to figure out what movie it was before putting out his record. It's too bad too, because now I really want to see it. I mean, that girl has a nice body. At least I think that's what he's saying. But since I don't know what movie he's talking about, I guess he could be referring to a woman with a bad body.
ReplyDeleteDamn, this sounds like my dad playing "Jeopardy."
ReplyDeleteBy the way, this isn't something you should actually say to a girl that you're interested in - being compared to 'some girl in a movie that I can't remember' isn't really as romantic as Twista makes it sound.
ReplyDeleteSome people can pull off the mid-sentence (intentional) blunder (see: Method Man). Twista is not one of them, at least not in this line.
ReplyDeleteHey now,
ReplyDeleteLeave my Chi-town buddy alone..
they really got the best for their buck when they laid this one down.
ReplyDeleteEw, does he have any idea what is on money? o__O
ReplyDeleteIt's sort of okay if you're Kurt Cobain:
ReplyDelete"I found it hard / It's hard to find / Oh well, whatever, nevermind"
But if there's going to be some question over whether or not you ACTUALLY forgot what you were going to say (like, say, Twista), then it is totally unacceptable.
Lets fill in the blank ourselves....ok, no need to be resentful.
