"Whoo! The snakes, the grass, too long, to see! UH! The lawnmower. UH! Sittin right next, to the tree! C'mon!"
- DMX, Who We Be

I feel like here DMX is trying to really get things pumped up and amped. But you can't really do that by describing where lawnmowers are.

  1. Yard maintenance is not gangster. Neither is impersonating a federal agent in order to skip out on your airport parking fees.

  2. Do you think that it might just be a metaphor for sex?

That would be my best guess.

  3. It's totally a meaphor for sex - apparently DMX isn't into hairy ladies.

  4. Maybe he's talking about his other job. I mean, his rap career kinda sucks.

  8. The first impression I got from this was trying to mow your lawn on LSD. As in, 'Whoo! The snakes, the grass, too long, to see!' sounds like the worst trip ever.

  9. I always thought it said "It takes the grass too long to see the lawnmower sitting right next to the tree."

But it still makes no sense, since grass can't see anyway.
